Young Adults

About us

A small group like Bible study for young adults who are eager to understand and apply God’s word to our everyday encounters-including but not limited to politics, relationships, and current events.

Goals

  1. Study, discuss, and learn God’s Word

    • “All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be competent, equipped for every good work.” 2 Timothy 3:16-17

  2. Encourage one another in our daily lives and our spiritual lives via prayer, encouraging words, and accountability

    • “And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.” - Hebrews 10:24-25

  3. Serve and have fun along side of each other

    • “For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them.” Matthew 18:20

Who Is This For?

Though our hearts desire to include everyone, we do believe our group is most beneficial for individuals between the ages of 18 & 25 who are eager to better understand the Bible and Christianity! But we also welcome married couples, who fall into this age bracket and don’t have children yet.

Who’s In Charge?

Though there are a couple of us who make the decisions, we really want our dynamic to be more conversational and discussion oriented; as opposed to one person leading group discussions, asking all the questions, and giving all the answers.

What Do We Expect From Attendees?

We really don’t want anyone to feel pressured, intimidated, or afraid to join us! We won’t be putting anyone on the spot or requiring people to answer any questions. But our hearts are to hear everyone’s opinions so that we can all compare answers and, ultimately, see what the Bible says about our thoughts. We believe this group will work best if we’re all working together to ask questions, give answers, debate, and study the Bible!

What We Study?

  • The Bible

First and foremost, our goal is to study the Bible. Everything else comes second to that.

  • Current Event Articles

In order to understand current issues and struggles from a Christian perspective, we want to study articles which discuss real world issues with Biblical backing. Of course, in discernment, after reading any articles we will compare it to what the Bible says.

  • Books

In a book club fashion, we also hope to study Christian, fiction books in the future.  For example, The Screwtape Letters by C. S. Lewis. By using books as a platform for understanding God’s word deeper.

What Activities Do We Do?

  • Serve

We want to serve together! Whether that be service to each other, our church, our community, our country, or beyond!

  • Have Fun

We, genuinely, long to have fun together! We want to go on picnics, grab dinner, and sing worship songs around a bonfire!

  • Witness

We don’t want this to just be us! We want others to join! By inviting those in our family, friend groups, workplace, etc. we seek to enlarge our group!

  • Worship

We want to worship the Lord through music! We want people to bring their voices, instruments, songs, and hearts of worship to worship our God!
