Missions

Our Missions Committee purposes to be an extension of the Pastor/Elders of New Covenant Fellowship (NCF) in meeting the financial needs of ministries, organizations, special projects, and/or individuals engaged in Kingdom causes at the local, national and international level. In addition, financial support may be extended to individual members or families of NCF who are in financial need and not eligible for financial support from other sources.

Organization

  1. The Missions Committee will be comprised of people who have made a commitment to NCF and have been recommended for this responsibility by committee members, under the oversight of the Pastor/Elders. Members of the Committee are encouraged to serve a minimum of one year.

  2. The Missions Committee is authorized to spend any or all of the funds in the missions account of NCF. The Director of Administration will periodically advise the Committee of funds allocated for missions particularly when there is a change in funding allocation; Moreover, whenever a need arises, the Committee may request additional funding over and above the normal allotment from the Pastor/Elders.

  3. All decisions of the Committee will be agreed upon in a unanimous fashion before they are acted upon. Those members who are unable to attend a Committee meeting will-whenever possible-be contacted by telephone or electronic mail for their recommendations. The Committee will act under the authority of the Pastor/Elders. It will not be necessary to obtain prior approval of the Pastor/Elders to support a ministry, organization, special project, or individual, providing the funds are available.

Agreement between the Pastor and the Elders will be the Missions Committee’s guiding principle when making decisions on supporting a ministry, organization, special project or individual. If, after prayer, there is a question or problem which cannot be resolved by Committee members, the Pastor will be the first source of appeal for help and guidance. The Pastor/Elders of NCF reserve the right to submit new proposals and/or changes to the Committee at any time.
